Following James Mitchell’s excellent talk on Scottish political radicalism in 2022, was the second Scottish Election Study Annual Lecture. Professor Maria Sobolewska (University of Manchester) presented on ethnic minority politics in Scotland in the context of relevant dynamics in the United Kingdom as a whole.
Prof. Sobolewska is an expert on immigration, ethnicity and ethnic minority representation and integration in the UK. Her 2020 book Brexitland, co-authored with Prof. Rob Ford, won the Political Studies Association’s WJM Mackenzie Prize for the best book published in political science.
